History of Tehran Arrhythmia Clinic
In the year 1379 in the Iranian calendar (2000 AD), the first arrhythmia clinic and arrhythmia center in Iran was established with the creation of the Electrophysiology Department at Rajaie Heart Hospital. In 1381 (2002), the Tehran Arrhythmia Clinic was founded as the first subspecialty center dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases and cardiac rhythm disorders in Iran, following its separation from Rajaie Heart Hospital. Over the years, through tireless efforts and a scientific commitment to offering the best and most up-to-date treatment methods, as well as an ethical dedication to providing the most suitable therapy for each patient and promoting public and professional awareness in the field of cardiac arrhythmias, the name “Tehran Arrhythmia Clinic” gained the trust and support of patients and respected colleagues across Iran and even in other countries. In 1399 (2020), the Tehran Arrhythmia Clinic officially ceased its operations, and it was decided that its physicians would continue their practice in other locations. Unfortunately, misuse of the name “Tehran Arrhythmia Clinic” to profit from its distinguished reputation has continued, making it important for patients and colleagues to pay close attention to the names of the physicians at each center. Under new management and with the support of skilled doctors and experienced staff in the field of cardiology and arrhythmias, the Tehran Arrhythmia Center has continued to serve heart and arrhythmia patients under the supervision of Dr. Saeed Oraii, the founder of this center. To date, the physicians and staff at this center have served hundreds of thousands of patients from various parts of our beloved country Iran and neighboring countries. The Tehran Arrhythmia Center is equipped with the latest outpatient diagnostic tools for all types of heart conditions. For inpatient arrhythmia procedures—including electrophysiological studies, ablations, and implantation of pacemakers and ICDs—patients are referred to affiliated hospitals based on the type of procedure, hospital facilities, and insurance coverage. In all hospital-based treatments, two or three members from the specialist team of the Tehran Arrhythmia Center will be present.
We hope to remain true to our core principles, maintaining both a scientific and professional commitment to delivering the best and latest treatment methods, and more importantly, an ethical commitment to prioritize the well-being of each patient and offer the most appropriate treatment regardless of personal gain. In doing so, we aim to continue to earn the trust and support of our valued colleagues and dear patients throughout the country.

For the first time in Iran, the pacemaker and electrophysiology department and arrhythmia clinic were founded in Rajaii Heart Hospital in the year 2000. After leaving the Heart Hospital in 2002, Tehran Arrhythmia Center was established as the first private subspecialty center for the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Since 2020, the original mission is being followed in the current organization.
